Anita Barone

Anita Barone is a versatile stage performer who's largely only seen on TV sitcoms. Barone got her first stage appearance as she got married to Jeff Foxworthy during "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," a season which aired on ABC between 1995 until 1996. Barone played on stage when she was just 5 years old in Detroit when her family moved away from St Louis. By age 23 she was in more than 50 plays that were mostly produced by universities as well as regional theatres. The stage roles she played included Juliet from "Romeo and Juliet," Helen Keller in a stage production that was based on "Monday Following the Miracle" as well as the lead part of Agnes an innocent nun on the stage in "Agnes of God." Her debut on screen was a minor role in "The Rozary Murders" and a brief appearance in "Ricochet" as well as leading in the romantic indie comedy "Just Friends" in 1996. The first Hollywood employment of note was as a part of the stock company for "Carol And Company" (NBC, 1990-91) The shaky attempt made by Carol Burnett to revive the variety show/comedy program. Barone has also appeared in a 1995 USA Network movie, "Wounded Heart". Eventually she returned to the daily sitcoms, appearing with Michael Chiklis in "Daddio" (NBC 2001). Anita Anita Anita
